Standing 4 Rib Roast

Standing Rib Roast is the premier roast. It is well marbled, juicy and robust in flavor and is also known as prime rib. When sliced, it will include the rib eye and cap in each slice. It is referred to as standing because it is typically roasted fat side up which allows the roast to rest on the rib bones, thus preventing the meat from touching the roasting pan. It is typically rubbed with salt and seasonings and slow roasted with dry heat.
